I enjoyed this book a lot. Even though it dragged in places. In particular I would the language repetitive, and the metaphors that the characters were using were far too repetitive.
Words like moth, flame, burn, lock and unlock where just overused as metaphors.
It was really easy to get sick of them.

The heroine seems wholly unremarkable, and while lockpicking is an interesting skill theres not a whole lot there. Is it that she has a mechanical mind? Is she an engineer type people, or does she just love puzzles?
other than the end where she picks the lock and saves the hero, there's no point to it. The story loves to keep calling back to it as a metaphor for love though, which is tiresome
The hero is delightful though.

Altogether though,  as I said in the beginning, I enjoyed this book
