This was so sweet!!! Mia and Noah's friendship and relationship developed so naturally and adorably, leaving me cheering them along each step. They grow so much throughout this book, especially the last section, growth that was very much needed. I highly recommend this sweet, friends-to-lovers heart-warmer!

I strongly recommend reading the content warnings here. At one point the internalized ableism was so strong and constant that I wanted to yell at the character to go to therapy already.

That said, there’s chronic illness representation in this one, the characters are fairly lovable even if not diverse, and I did want to root for them.

I’m actually quite impressed by how well thought out the plot was. All the questions answered, all the uncertainties explained, all the emotional baggage given closure by the end of the story. On a similar note, the pacing was also just nice.

Not too sure what I feel about the main characters though. I guess it was supposed to be a sweet childhood friends to lovers story but the pining was too much and too exaggerated that it was borderline annoying to me—making both of them borderline annoying to me.

Noah was a bit too stoic for my taste. I also am personally not a fan tattoos in general, so the little detail about his tattoos and even Mia getting one herself didn’t really sit well with me. Personally, Mia was also on the annoying side, but I can’t really figure out why exactly.
