This book was amazing. If you are at all interested in historical or generational trauma or epigenetics, you HAVE to give this one a read. I will add that it can be a bit heavy, so please pay close attention to content warnings and take it easy if you pick this one up and aren’t in the right headspace. This book gave me a lot to think about on my own journey to unpack generational and historical trauma as an Indigenous person. What I’ve learned is that essentially, sometimes we may not even be aware of the burdens that were passed down to us. We don’t have to carry it if it’s not ours or if it isn’t serving us. 

Absolutely an awesome read!
