This is my first Andy Weir book and I absolutely loved it. I could not put this book down. The concept of an astronaut with amnesia having to save the world is already interesting, but the way the memories come back to him are what push the plot forward and what develop his character. I really enjoyed this style of writing and want to pick up more of his books. Would recommend this book to any sci-fi enjoyer or scientifically minded person. Even the outlandish aspects are explained scientifically and grounded in a bit of reality, which is part of why I didn't mind more fantastical elements.

Andy Weir is a wonderful story teller, and this book is no exception.
Fun, interesting, adventurous, I devoured this book in two days.

I used to be so good at science when I was younger, but now the smallest hint of science (and math) will make my brain shut down. So even though there was a lot of that going on, the book was so good. I loved Rocky so much (as well as the interactions between Ryland and Rocky). I just think it’s sick that if this were to ever be made into a movie I would not be able to watch it because Rocky would terrify me.

Anyways, this book also made me cry. It was heartwarming yet slightly sad, and I just really loved the friendship between Ryland and Rocky.

Another incredible read by Andy Weir. I adored this book. I loved that the main character was so different than Mark from The Martian, but still hilarious and smart.

The premise was incredible and believable, but it was the characters that kept me reading. I adored Ryland and Rocky and I had to know what happened next.

I loved this book, but I do feel as though The Martian is a bit more accessible than this one. The science does get a bit complicated and could be a deterrent.

Overall, I am so happy I read this book and I could see myself reading it again.
