The world-building is quite interesting. I feel like we get an accurate perception of the personalities of each member of the outcast crew. I enjoyed the humor, it was a good relief to balance the tense atmosphere since we know something is about to happen, but we don't know when and how.
Also, it was nice to see how the characters are older college students and their behavior matches their age. There was a lot of info to handle, let's see if we can make sense of all of this in the next books.

So I knew very little about this book going in but I was highly entertained and thoroughly engaged! I am a huge HP fan and this book gave me some of those vibes but in a much more elevated and culturally relevant way! I loved the CREW and the genuine bonds of friendship they were able to form. I felt like there was so much going on, but I was never confused because the author did such an amazing job of keeping the storylines cleverly connected and intertwined and the way this book left me with that huge cliffhanger…so glad I already have the next two books downloaded because I have to know what comes next in this thrilling and exciting series! Highly, highly recommend!
