A Magical HBCU of Vampires, Witches, Sirens & Werewolves. How could this go wrong. The burn is slow, but your jaw will drop after the 50% mark & the ending is a cliffhanger that makes you have to immediately begin The First Family for your sanity. This book is filled with secrets, discovery, lust & intrigue! I enjoyed it & will read it again when I start to forget parts of the story.

adventurous relaxing

I really enjoyed the concept of them finding a sisterhood group, with the exception of Quan lol. Honestly, him and Asha may have been my favorites.

While reading the "chapters", it's easy to forgot whose POV it's from. Due to this, it caused me to go back to the beginning of the chapter often. Although the characters are in their 20s, you'd think they were teenagers by some of the dialogue and actions. They probably were made adults to make the multitude of sex scenes and teachers lusting over their students less weird. Also, the book didn't need to discuss the wardrobe in full detail; it was excessive. The group utilizing the doors was pretty cool, but with all the doors they went through it became excessive as well. The 'Epilogue' provides more context on it, which is a nice way to get the reader to read their other books, but there may have been another way to go about it.
