As a black woman I LOVED this! The vernacular, tone, DESCRIPTIONS!!! I usually zone out for extensive descriptions but with THIS I liiiived for every description of locs and melanated skin of all hues! They played SPADES bro!

this had so much potential to be amazing but it fell flat with there being no likable male main characters, so many plot introduced yet nothing to help proceed the next step on where the book is going, to many unnecessary POV's, the character are hella childish for them to be in there late 20 to 40's, and the author making it seem like every non-main character is ghetto, look like Kodak Black, or just right unnecessarily rude for these people to be grown like that. I'm talking the teacher himself is so fucking childish how the hell he even get the job or still working there. This generation fued they with the vampires and werewolves feels like childplay bc we only get the wolves POV so its just them being like "we are the good guys never did anythig wrong" like please . IDK the book wasn't awful I just think it lacking in many ways but whats keeping me here are the 3 main female characters and the cat.
