I give it a 4.5...a laugh out loud book. I did listen to this on book on audible... very entertaining! My friends that read it did not enjoy it, so I highly advise you listen to this one. Jill’s Mississippi drawl and southern wisdom won’t disappoint!

Loaned this one out years ago and I'm still waiting to get it back! Learned my lesson!

I'm not sure how funny this will be if you didn't grow up in e south, but if you did, it is flat out hillarious!!! I can hardly wait to read the other offerings by Ms. Browne.

Hilarious! Funniest book I have read in a long time.

Very amusing. I found out from this book that I have been treating men all wrong!

This was a fun read. Not recommended for the conservative, but very funny. I love the Queens' senses of humor. I read this shortly after reading The Help and wondering if any of the Queens' are daughters of Hildy?

The best part about this little book is that it is real. It is laugh out loud funny at times. Some noteworthy snippets are: the Big Hair Hole, Zipp-i-ty dooooo-dah, "Of course, all the Queens were brought up as Aspiring Brides . As such, we were counseled to obtain our teaching certificates so that in case we married football coaches, we’d be able to teach when their coaching careers were ended.", and "You can get an old friend to handle your divorce proceedings for free, pro bono as it were, but if you’re on trial for your life, you’re going to want to invest in the best defense available; and this is money that could better be spent on plastic surgery." I enjoyed imagining the green gowns, go go boots, and the parades. I enjoyed imagining the pageant parties. Just a fluffy, fun little book that helped a cold afternoon pass.
