so bored of sir william bradshaw and his wife… didnt understand a single thing, ramblings
septimus suicide was sad…,
peter walsh is worst character pov to read, not engaging at all, space out, obsessed with mrs dalloway, not likeable bcs of his relationships with daisy and lack thereof with mrs dalloway, king of double standards, insecure?
2 povs clash when bradshaws said a patient of theirs (septimus) had killed himself and only thing mrs dalloway thought was to complain 3 times that the bradshaws had spoken of death in the middle of her party, shows the effect of the war on England’s 2 classes
clarissa is a snob and looks down in people e.g. her cousin ellie, her bff (sally seton) for marrying a miners son, mrs kilman for her views, smarts and looks

Very interesting. The stream of consciousness style definitely takes some getting used to but once you get in the hang of things it works. The book is usually described as a day in the life of Clarissa Dalloway but that's not actually the most accurate descriptions since it jumps between the POV of a few different characters. Clarissa, Peter, and Sally were definitely the best characters, some of the other people didn't capture my attention quite as much. Also a few loose threads here and there I would've liked to seen explored more but I think that was intentional since life is full of loose threads. Overall very good read.
