I got this book through a Kickstarter campaign but didn't get around to reading it for a couple of months (for reasons).
This is a collection of twenty short stories inspired by folklore from around the world. Unsurprisingly, the ones that resonated with me most were those for which I was familiar with the myths/folklore. I did still enjoy all the stories but some of them just flowed through me rather than 'stuck'
I think my favourite was definitely All the Drowned Women by Tracey Fahey which explored how events can be changed to folklore to draw a veil over what happened. But at the same time, we're not required to follow in the steps of those that came before, that we can change the story.

Some of the others that I really enjoyed were:
- A Thing of Beauty- David Elikwu
- The Autumn Tree- Dan Hanks
- KRATT.A.I- Sam Horton
I'd recommend this as a good mix of stories that range from hopeful to sad.
