This was my first Grisham. Solid, down-the-middle enjoyable read.

I was very disappointed with this book. I appreciate John May be trying to leave the lawyer stuff behind; but this did not wring true to me. I was left wondering if he really wrote it. Or did he employ a ghost writer.

Not your typical heart pounding fast paced Grisham novel. An enjoyable, light, leisurely read. I don't know that you could even call it a thriller, but a fun read. Thoroughly enjoyed the characters and island setting. Makes me think of Randy Wayne White's Doc Ford series.

It’s a page-turner. Grisham is a competent writer of mysteries and such. Here, the mystery is less whodunnit as howdunnit and why, but a decent beach read. If only I were on the beach!
