I think this is the book that makes you really get hooked on the rest of the series because you realise it's just as good as the first one.

i ❤️ ronnie so bad
i don’t understand what’s with jlb and tuning the second male lead everytime the mc gets with the other love interest but i need her to STOP.
this book was funnier to read than the first because we got less romance (slightly less but i want it GONE) and we got to see veronica sterling aka loml

I've discovered that I really enjoy Jennifer Lynn Barnes's writing, and I am very much devouring this series. My only real criticism is that I read The Inheritance Games series first, and it doesn't feel like there's a massive amount of difference between Avery & Cassie - I could almost switch the 2 characters and barely feel any difference (Personality wise). I'm also not a fan of the fact that both series have had a love triangle where 1 guy is the classic rich, cocky/arrogant kinda guy and the other is the silent/brooding type (Grayson vs Michael, Jamieson vs Dean). I'm writing this review after reading the third book, and Grayson is clearly a name JLB really likes, since it's used in both series.
The story itself was fun, and from the beginning I had my top 3 suspects (After reading The Naturals and learning how JLB writes her villains, etc. it became quite easy to figure out who it may be) and the twist was actually fairly satisfying. Did enjoy.
