Goed boek dat best wel spannend is. Beschrijft goed hoe een moeder zich voelt als haar kind ziek wordt en de lijdensweg die ze moeten afleggen om een orgaandonor te vinden.

There were aspects of this book I enjoyed and there were others that I didn't (mainly some of the characters). The main plot of three teenagers being pulled out of the channel missing their vital organs intrigued me and I wanted the police to catch the people who were doing it, which was the only thing that stopped me from DNFing this book.
But I felt that this book went in for far too long and when I was reading the last 200 pages, I just really wanted it to finish. Also the author introduced too many characters and I hated most of them except for Roy Grace, Branson and Caitlin.
At times this was a fairly enjoyable read but other times it wasn't and I skim read around 100 pages because it just wasn't getting to the bits I needed to know quick enough: during one bit at the beginning of a Roy Grace chapter, it detailed what he did on a morning.

Ik kon er simpelweg niet in komen... teveel verhalen door elkaar waardoor ik de draad kwijtraakte
Graphic: Injury/Injury detail, Car accident, Death, Medical content, Murder, and Chronic illness

Dead Tomorrow is the first book I've read by Peter James and while it ticks most of the boxes, it wasn't particularly captivating. I liked the realistic element and you can tell that a lot of research has gone on to produce this story with some accuracy but I can't help that that somehow detracted from the enjoyment of the story. I don't need a happy ending but I did come away feeling a little hollow.

Very gripping. A lot of short snappy chapters that make is ideal to pick up and put down. But you also don't want to put it down

1.5 en realidad. Hay demasiadas tramas y demasiada 'paja' para lo que es en realidad el libro.
