Wow...I...have no words. Need time to process it, but I'll say just one thing: the way the FMC develops from the start of the book until the end is remarkable.
This has so much hype around it that I held it in high regard. However, it was a little underwhelming. I think it's something I need to sit down and think about.
I do believe in the argument that the protagonist is slipping into psychosis. There’s a bigger picture here but I am guessing mental illness was a factor as a result of an oppressive, patriarchal system she finds herself in.
