I feel no attachment to any of these characters. The only two characters who I was somewhat rooting for were the MC and her love interest. Everyone else was terrible; like cartoon level villain terrible

I couldn’t put this down. It was funny, adventurous, tense, and sexy. I adored the characters and I found the lore to be really interesting. There were a few points in the story where I felt like some of the twists were not particularly surprising to me, nonetheless, this book was a very fun journey. Would recommend and I’m eager to read the sequel!

I can't put my finger on it but something about this was a little bit slow for me at first. But it really gets going and sucks you right in!

I'm definitely going to read the next book and the end leaves you wanting more!

Magical vikings! That's a fun new Romantasy subgenre for me. I enjoyed the magical system of this book, with the characters granted powers through a drop of divine blood.

Freya is an enjoyable heroine, although she does suffer from some of the usual frustrating plot conventions, like failing to realize the male lead is in love with her when it's obvious to everyone else. I like her dark side.

There were a couple other plot points that were meant to be a big reveal but were pretty obvious, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment.

Not sure I'll read the rest of the series but this was a fun listen.
