This book was very interesting and I do love Norse mythology. However, all the characters were very infuriating especially the FMC. The ending wasn’t what I hoped for and it was just a constant battle of who is using who for power which I understand is a realistic concept to write on. However, I’m just overall not super satisfied with how things ended. Will read the next book and hope for the best. Writing was good though!

OKAYYYYYY! Some spicy fantasy fun! I'm here for it. I enjoyed this! I totally get why everyone loved this. I think it might have ranked higher in my book it I wasn't in the midst of a PERFECT fantasy series (The Shepherd King), haha! I did enjoy my time with this book though and I am excited for book 2!

This book was fine. It was ridiculously predictable. The romance was surface level (I need more than just "he's so hot I want to bang him" to feel invested in a romance but that's all we get).
The characters were there but they never felt fully formed. I did enjoy the setting.

I'll probably read the next book in the series when it's released.
