Fun, quick read! The romance was cute and I didn’t mind the office setting/plot. It’s just not very memorable to me and I probably will never think about it again. I also don’t really care for situationships

I really wanted to like this book, but unfortunately I don’t connect with it. It felt kinda rushed and I didn’t quite like the main character. Anyways, I always enjoy good romance so that’s that.

this was a solid contemporary romance. i LOVED the MMC and their chemistry was amazing. their romance was really fun to read. the short ain’t of being work enemies was a little fast but once they started hanging out, it was electric !!! i also found the plot to be so engaging. almost as much as the romance tbh. i was genuinely invested in figuring out what was going down at their company and whether she was actually going to move to London. speaking of, i loved the ending where she didn’t just suddenly decide to stay in NYC for the boy but actually moved on for herself, and HE followed HER! i feel like most of these romances involve the FMC suddenly realizing that all along she wanted to stay or some shit and i loved that this one was different in that respect.
the two main reasons this wasn’t perfect to me are (1) the smut was almost nonexistent. it was very short and might as well have been fade to black for lack of details. not necessarily a must have, but with how good their chemistry was and their initially rivalry/dislike, i expected hot scenes and there were really any. the intimacy that we did get gave me butterflies though!
and (2) the looming end of their situationship made me anxious the entire time. obviously i KNEW that they would have a HEA, but having to read every love declaration and kiss through a lens of “this can’t last” dulled the excitement a bit. and once that aspect was overcome, we didn’t get enough happy ever after.
overall, an EXCELLENT book and i would gladly read more of her work
