WOW!!! I was absolutely swept away by this book! I fell in love with Serena and Cope from the first page! Cope's cockiness, Serena's tender heart...everything about these two sucked me in and I couldn't put this book down. I was swooning over Cope! His tough exterior with his big heart is my literal catnip! I want this man protecting me everyday like he does Serena. And Serena! Major crush on her...I feel like I'm best friends with this badass woman with a heart of gold! You cheer for her in everything she does, on the waves, and off.

Kathryn is AMAZING at writing romantic suspense, because I was holding my breath reading this book! It was SO. DAMN. GOOD. I love everything Kathryn writes, but her writing in this book was off the charts. The way she puts you in the book and the imagery she creates with her words is second to none. I was laughing, I was crying, and I'm still all up in my feels with Cope and Serena <3

Another gnarly book by Kathryn that every romance fan will love!

Cope and Serena gave me all they yearning tension I was craving! I think this was my first surfer romance and the reader really gets a taste for the danger and intensity of surfing and the respect that surfers have for the ocean. But that was merely the stage for the second chance, married couple romance that was fire from the very beginning. Copeland hides some truths in order to be Serena's bodyguard, and their forced proximity stirs up lots of old feelings. This book did contain lots of tropes but they all worked together brilliantly. I was a little worried about the suspense resolving itself appropriately but was pleased with the way that story line was addressed.

Kathryn Nolan writes some steamy steamy spice and this story is no different. I am surprised i dont have burns on my fingers from the heat on those pages! I hope everyone goes and meets Cope and Serena and falls in love with their love!

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my review.

Kathryn has written another great romantic suspense novel. In all honesty, I am not a big fan of bodyguard romance nor surfing but this book drew me in. I was invested in Serena’s competitions.

OOTB covered many different subjects but it didn’t feel overloaded. They all fit together very well. The romantic suspense was very well plotted and the tension was maintained up to the resolution.

My favorite part of the book overwhelmingly was Serena and Cope’s fight to get back to their relationship. The scenes of intimacy felt real. The sex scenes were very good, very, but I am referring to those outside of the physical aspect of their relationship. The dramatic surf competition (no spoilers), Cope braiding Serena’s hair, and other large and small moments added depth to the portrayal of the couple. The effort to open up to each other and be honest and so much more vulnerable hit home for me. HEAs take a lot of work, and the work never ends. I really, really appreciated the portrayal of a marriage in crisis and thought dead but two people willing to give it one more try because there is so much love.

The supporting characters are great. The subject matter is great. The suspense is great. Serena and Cope are great. I unreservedly recommend Out of the Blue.
