This book! Astonishing, gripping, flawless, strange and wondrous — each story is its own world. The language and craft here is worthy of study. Basically Sachdeva allowed me to be enfolded completely in her thrall, the type of total reading captivation that I have seldom experienced as an adult reader. Just. Wow.

Like any modern day short story collection, this is filled with immersive and clever stories that have bad endings. I will say that I enjoyed > 50% of the stories included, which is pretty rare.

Such a diverse group of stories - all of which I found myself able to dive into. Really liked each story in its own way. I like how the author explored different genres - which is cook because we tend to stick to certain ones, so this got me out of my “comfort zone”.
