I didn’t love these stories. And I appreciated the rawness and honesty.

FUCK WTF YES. 10/10. Told through a prism of the self, these characters are like shards of the same person, or different ways of getting where you're going. They're all kinds of fucked up, addicted, drug addled, sleep deprived, bitchy. It's like... Different boyfriends and different ways of being a boyfriend. Desire shining through some faggy kaleidoscope. Idk man just read it

“100 Boyfriends” is a very raw depiction of the struggles and sex lives of gay black men in NYC and San Francisco. I enjoyed how the author wasn’t trying to make these short stories anything but unapologetically real and honest and while the language was very vulgar, it also made me laugh several times.

Lots of sex. So honest. Such great worldbuilding, each page is a dark room with unwashed sheets.
"..and we were all completely broke."
This book feels like figuring it out.

An absolute celebration of sluttiness, in all its dimensions. Some stories felt eerily relatable, some deeply moving, and most left me jealous of the narrator/authors god-tier sex life. Reading this delighted me, and I feel renewed in my own commitment to being a slut.
