I loved the romance between Oliver Cane and Nikos Ridge. Each of these characters had a unique personality and voice, and both of the characters were loveable. I also enjoyed the side characters Megan and Selina. Nikos being an actor doesn't hinder his relatability, as he has social anxiety and really seems like an introvert. Oliver, or Oli, is a publicist for a famous publishing company, and I enjoyed seeing his kindness and his love of reading. Even though there are some heavy themes in this book, most of which pertain to Nikos' past, the mood is balanced out by the tension, pining, and chemistry between our two lead characters. This novel really is for the bookish nerds. Thank you Ben Alderson and Laura R. Samotin for co-writing this novel.
