i love Jane Austen’s writing style but this book was just not it. The final pairing seemed rushed (they didn’t seem to romantically love each other until 3 pages before the end) and well…. i did not like the final pairing anyways

an opinion that nobody asked for:

I can only hope that in due time, people would not intend to read Mansfield Park solely as a romance novel. (nor any Jane Austen's novels for that matter!!!!*) and instead read it as a social commentary on interesting, complex and flawed characters that is not always, but more often than not, written with so much wit and humour.

Anyway, I loved Mansfield Park.
