The Blood of Olympus is the final book in "The Heroes of Olympus" series of book. The final confrontation against Gaea and her giants is upcoming. Can our heroes make it through the seemingly impossible circumstances they face in order to save the Gods and the entire world?
Given the types of books these are you probably already know the answer to that question. How that happens though, that may be a bit more uncertain. Will all of our heroes make it out of the conflict alive?
I enjoyed the ending to this series. It's pretty much what you should expect from a Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus book by now. It's got crazy action, Greek mythology with a modern twist, and quite a bit of humor. If you haven't liked previous books this isn't going to make you love it, and if you're already a fan then I don't see why you wouldn't enjoy this book.
One aspect of this book that I enjoyed was getting a bit more background on Reyna. It was nice to have her a bit more fleshed out as a character and getting to see a bit more of her past. I also enjoyed getting to see Nico learn to connect with people. I don't think he'll ever be my favorite character, but I wanted to see him break out of his somewhat self imposed prison of solitude.
From here I'll have the Trials of Apollo series, which I must admit I'm a bit worried about. Apollo seems like he's going to be a rather obnoxious character, and I hope it doesn't dampen my enjoyment of the series. Plus it will be a bit sad to move on from this team of demigods, but hopefully they'll be making some cameo appearances.

Great way to end the series! Full of action, wit and suspense. Recommend the series to everyone who loves mythology, action, adventure and friendship.
