Amei.

O desenvolvimento do relacionamento deles é tão boooom.

I had high hopes from this novel. The blurb sounded very intriguing. Unfortunately I found the characters and plot to be forgettable. Perhaps it is my age, but I found many of the characters shallow and many of the problems and conflicts could have easily been resolved with clearer communication... or just communication in general. Our main character thought it wise to ignore his freinds on multiple occasions just to avoid facing conflcit.
I also was not very invested in the relationship between Dylan and Jordan. It seemed way too instalovey for my liking. By the halfway mark I no longer cared for the mystery of Jordans power. Maybe if the story had focused more on that rather than high school drama I would have enjoyed this story more.
Dispite myself not enjoying this read, I am positive there are many that would enjoy it. Sadly I just feel like I could not connect with any of the characters which in turn took me away from the plot.

the pacing in dynamics was a little fast at first, but it rounded out nicely, and savanna....sigh to slap or to smooch (pride month read 15/30)

OK while I didn't hate it and it wasn't bad, I also felt like it was about nothing. I wanna say 4 bc it was a nice, quick and easy read. But it felt like it lacked a bit of substance? Everything fell a little flat. I liked the girls, but the boys were just there. How they fell in love was beyond me, how Dylan got his powers was weird. It was cute but really all I can say was it lacked substance.

Oh boy. This book really sunk it's claws in me and I couldn't put it down. This almost felt like a comic bookish story with some love thrown in there. The reason I gave this three stars is because honestly I felt like there were a lot of things still left unexplained and even though I enjoyed reading it, it really could have dealt with a bit more back story as well as how some stuff came about.

It did start to feel like it was beginning to just be all over the place with the story the further you went a long with it. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a love story that involves some crazy predicaments and the friends who honestly don't seem fazed by any of it.

Ok but you’re actually joking right? This was awful!! I’m sorry but it was. The story was slow and boring but also extremely rushed and oddly ambitious??? Like, huh? It really was the weirdest experience. The characters were severely underdeveloped, forgettable, and surface-level. I feel like I didn’t get to know or understand any of them. And the dialogue? Oh my god the dialogue was painful!! Hands down the worst part about this book. It was all just so awkward and unnatural to read. With 100 pages left, I kept asking myself, “why am I still reading this?” I desperately wanted to dnf but I couldn’t bring myself to quit because I spent money on this thing!!! Ugh. Maybe I’ll finally learn my lesson and stop judging a book by its cover, because clearly that’s what happened here…and it is a stunning cover. Bummer.

This was so. much. fun. to. read. I have seen some negative reviews, and honestly cannot disagree more with them. This was a unique story and I became invested in the two main characters right from the jump. I loved the concept of this love story, and thought that Brian Zepka did an outstanding job of executing that concept. There was such a great variety in the elements of the story -- romance, suspense, mystery, comedy. There were also fantastic, well-developed supporting characters that I really enjoyed. I could not put this one down and was so satisfied with the ending that we got. Would love to see a sequel to this. I am so eager to read more from Brian!
