I liked this story about a one room schoolhouse. Like every other school by Andrew Clements, this is a good book. However, after reading many of his story this is not the best. I felt like it was Emory, but the mystery was a little flat. The school story part was slow. This was still a good story and I may recommend it to a friend it just may or be my first pick.

This was a cute story. The dying small town aspect of the story is probably relatable to anyone in a rural community. The mystery is a little forced and is a little dated.

I like Andrew Clements, but this one was just ok. Yes, it's realistic fiction, and yes, it did end realistically, but the ending felt flat to me.

Another nice one by Andrew Clements. I love how he manages again and again to write books about good kids and good adults that are set in schools, but differ a lot from story to story! They all have lessons and questions to make a reader think, round(ish) characters, and satisfying plots.
