I would like to preface this with I love Christine’s videos and want nothing but for her to succeed but this book was just not my favorite. I did find myself empathizing with the characters and enjoying some of the content but overall, I think the parents got off too easy with this. It does also point out the insanity of the very idea of the parent trap in the first place which I liked. However, the characters are not that enjoyable to me, which I didn’t like.

I would give the book 5 stars, but I absolutely could not stand one of the main characters, Jamie. I found her insufferable and completely unfunny even though she was supposed to be a standup comedian.

I enjoyed reading from two different POVs throughout the book. It was fast paced and had a good flow.

This was just like a Disney movie. Siri and Jamie are sisters who were torn apart at a young age. They lived two completely different lives. Siri lives with her mom not even knowing she has a sister and Jamie lives with her dad knowing she abandoned her sister. When they run into each other at a retreat after decades of not seeing each other, they come up with a plan. This is where Parent Trap and Freaky Friday come into play. This was a fun story.
