reason: I honestly got bored. The start was very slow and barely anything happened. Will I ever try to revist this book in the future? No.
I had such high expectations for this book. And they were too high. Though if you liked this book, I won't hold you too it. If you like Aaron Warner, who I only just met in the book and think is a abosolute dick, I won't judge you. After all, everyone has that one book boyfriend that you like but everybody else hates.

What a good love story! I was obsessed with Rogue from X-men when I was a kid, so I had to pick this up.
The writing style is almost poetic with its repetition and strike-through words. Although there was some insta-love going on, I enjoyed the love story as a whole.
Adam is a bit too perfect for my taste, but so sincere. Call me crazy, but Warner caught my attention as the strongest character. I'm so intrigued by him.
I did want a bit more world building, but considering the main character has been isolated for years, I can see how that would be difficult to add in.
Also, it was a bit heavy on the drama. I wanted some happy moments or a funny/loveable character. A true four star book. A good read.

3/3.5 stars. It wasn't at all what i expected and the first half just made me roll my eyes A LOT. But I still ended up liking it. I will say that the way Juliette describes items and/or feelings are a bit gag-inducing but maybe that's just me? And she overthinks things too much.. Which is understandable considering her being locked up and all, but still. I can't wait untill she becomes a straight-up badass!

The story line was all over the place. It's a mix of Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, Divergent, The Maze Runner, X-Men all rolled into one. I wasn't sure where the story was going. Oh and add a splash of tension/romance. I almost DNF'd it.
