Cate (still refusing to return to the FBI because she truly thinks she no longer has what it takes to be a regular field agent) is at home on Widow's Island when a buried skeleton is discovered. Soon enough, the island now has three buried skeletons and more questions than answers. Is this a case from Cate's past coming back to haunt her or the work of a copycat?

I have to say, more interesting than the previous book in the series. I'm really starting to enjoy Cate and, of course, if you need a quick mini read these novellas are great.

Mais uma história de crimes e violência na supostamente pacata Widow's Island. Muito bom este quinto livro da série.

Widows island

Another great novella from Kendra Elliott. I look forward to reading more in the series. I enjoy both Kendra Elliott and Melinda Leigh’s work.

I started this series a couple years ago and randomly thought about it and wanted to continue. There’s nothing really wrong with it per se, but also nothing super thrilling. Since they’re quick little novellas it feels like watching a 30-45 min detective procedural tv show.

Interesting

I was not expecting the twist. Especially since the character seemed to be well respected. But poor Emma can't catch a break. I hope good things happen for her soon.and I love Cates and Henry's relationship, I have been rooting for them. I'm excited to see Tessa and Logan relationship progress.

The fifth novella in Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh's Widow's Island series, see's former FBI Agent Cate and boyfriend Henry drawn into an investigation linked to an old case of Cates when bones are found in the state park. And with just the right amount of mystery, a couple of red herrings, and a thrilling confrontation with the killer this was a very readable story.

Would recommend.

I love these

These novellas are engaging and manage to always give you a beginning middle, climax, and satisfying ending. I'm on to the next one.

Boring with stereotypical characters. Even the 91 page short book seemed too long.
