I bought this book cause it was very cheap at a local shop, and it definitely exceeded my expectations!! I loved the queer storylines and learning more about the queer scene in Berlin pre-world war two, it was also scary to realise the paralels between then and now (it‘‚s currently march 2025) I also loved that it showed how much power books have, and I didn‘t know anything at all about the services that sent books to soldiers during world war two, so it was very interesting to learn more about it. It was also interesting to show the different opinions of groups of people during the world war, a lot of books about world war two, are very black and white, but this book also showed the nuance with a character as Dev.
If you like queer books and historical fiction I definitely recommend it.
