GwG book club. There were maybe too many story lines and Viv's felt semi-unnecessary. Mostly an interesting story and now I want to read the book of what really happened.

Berlin. Paris. New York. Different dates in time, told from three different perspectives - over time the characters' lives intersect.

I generally enjoy WWII historical novels - not so much The Librarian of Burned Books. I found the novel to move slowly, the alternating of perspectives (time and place) did not move smoothly for me. Didn't care about the characters or events.

This was a DNF for me.

There is always so so much more to learn about WWII. I never heard of the Armed Services Editions. Also - the similarities between the MAGA republicans and the Nazis are always so shocking!

This is a very timely story about banning books and how it leads to more atrocities. It is a very important subject and it was sometimes difficult to read because we are currently going through this with our horrible politicians in the US. The three timelines and locations in the book were a bit confusing at first and I almost stopped reading but I am so glad I stuck with it.
