I was intrigued by the blurb of this book and thought I’d give it a try since I haven’t read a lot of historical fiction. I’m happy that I did because I thought this was a lovely story about the lives of three women at different times around the Second World War. I thought the characters were well-developed and each storyline held my interest. I would have liked a little more scenes during the time when the three storylines intersected, but, overall, I thought this was a riveting and informative novel. I hope to read more like it soon.

Amazing!! Another new angle of WWII that I didn’t know about, and the three stories were combined perfectly. Too often, authors have long chapters for the different time periods— and then you forget what happened with the other character/time frame. This was done very well, and the story has so many connections to hot topics in the world now. Highly recommend this book, and it is my favorite so far this year!
