Agatha Raisin and the Wizard of Evesham by M.C. Beaton

I love the Agatha Raisin series and this one is no exception. They're great easy reads with brilliant characters, especially the titular Agatha Raisin. The plots are excellent and I never normally work out who the culprit is.

I like Agatha when she is abrupt and confident and biting. It makes me sad when she pines for James or shows a lack of self-confidence in her personal appearance or worthiness. I was glad to see James gone from this book, but I gotta say, after this one, and that joke about rape, I really do not like Sir Charles. Agatha deserves better all around.

The mystery in this one was okay, not my favorite in the series but not my least favorite either.

Very simplistic and in basic English, with a few flaws in grammar and storyline here and there, as are all the books Of M.C. Beaton's I have read but they are fun, funny, short and fill out a couple of hours.

It was okay, not my favorite. I knew fairly early who did it and even Agatha didn't seem that invested in the whole thing. I will try another because the rest have been fun, but this was meh.

A bit of fluff to end the year! Some interesting twists and turns, well worth a read if you want to keep yourself occupied for a couple of hours!
