This was exactly what I wanted when I downloaded it. This book is ridiculous and over the top and smutty to all hell, but I loved it. I loved the dynamic between Blake and Mercer so much. I do think it was a little longer than necessary, but overall a super solid read. If you love Onley James, this is definitely the book for you. It very much gave Unhinged vibes (in the best way obvs).

Little Demon in the Details is a wonderfully entertaining grumpy/sunshine romance between a demanding brat Mercer and his gruff and stoic protector Blake. Together they are just magic, I love how captivated both characters are by the mere presence of each other. They are devoted to protecting and owning the other, which creates many steamy moments of control, dominance, and utter desperation.

Mercer is one complicated character. He is the youngest in his family and doesn't get any recognition, attention, or love from anyone, which makes Blake the perfect solution to all of his inner turmoil. Blake is tasked with protecting Mercer from imminent threats, which is the central plot of the story. Together Blake and Mercer go on quite an intense journey where they learn to depend, trust, and completely devote themselves to one another.

I found this story addicting from beginning to end. I love the push/pull dynamics of these two characters and how feral and possessive they are with one another. Such a fun read that made me sad when it finished.

***I reviewed a complimentary copy of this story.***

I so rarely give books a full five stars, but this story deserves every one of them. I felt like the plot vs BDSM aspects were well balanced and also handled in a really healthy way. Blake is the biggest green flag (a little psycho but not towards Mercer which is really all that matters) and Mercer is a sweet traumatized brat who just needs some love and therapy.

My one small problem is that at the end of the book the author has Mercer wearing a fedora which is probably the worst thing that he could do, and considering how style conscious Mercer can be, I firmly believe that this was just a fever dream and that I’m going to ignore it.

So many people love and swear by this book, I wish I could, I hate to not finish a book (this year only happen 5 times in more than 100+ books)

I like to think I have a high bullshit tolerance, but this one was bad...

We met Blake - his an assassin, a highly trained and respected criminal (sounds promising) out of nowhere he decides to save Mercer, our other main Mc even without knowing if that will benefit him.
His name should be blank, because that's his personality, blank. He's only there so be whatever Mercer needs.

Mercer - such a brat (in a bad way). He's one of the most unlikable characters I ever read. He's truly a bad person who likes to do annoying shit for the sake of it. Yeah, he went through a lot but at what point that stops being an acceptable excuse to being shitty?

This book is a porn trying to be a book, I just couldn't read more s*x scenes. Wish I could give it a better note...

“Blake?” “Yeah, baby.” “Thanks for… seeing me.” He smiles at me, still sweaty and exhausted. “I’ll never stop looking, Mercer.”
I blush like an asshole because holy shit, he’s a romantic murderer.

Thrilling plot and interesting characters, Nordika Night might’ve become another instant-buy author for me. Love how she mixes hurt/comfort, action and a swoony romance.
Mercer and Blake complement each other so perfectly, the mix of brattiness and neediness balanced out by Blake’s dominant vibes was hot and amazing.

“Fuck knows how you did it, little demon, but you did.” His lips move against mine, kissing and confessing together. “Did what?” “Made me yours.”

The ending kind of dragged a little bit, but that’s probably more of a me problem.

CW and tropes(spoilers):
- Size difference
- MC with eidetic memory
- MC with panic attacks and PTSD
- Lingerie
- Cum play and cum kink
- Cock-warming scene

Long winded

I enjoyed parts of this but other parts I skipped as it just felt too long and convoluted.

The story concept was good and loved the characters but the plot and storyline could have been condensed or LOL can't believe I am saying this haha but some of the
