Read this again in preparation for the sequel, The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband. Sadly, it is still only a 2 star book. It takes me far too long to get into, I don't like the pacing, and I think the writing is difficult to read because it doesn't flow. I hate saying that last comment because Julia Quinn's writing is normally very readable and smooth, but for some reason, I struggle with this one.
Fun to discover a companion series to Bridgerton! Loved the family friend to lovers trope!
