I loved the book.

I loved how the female mc was like strong or at least stronger than other people when facing horrific experiences. I liked how the book was written and maybe it's cause I read a lot of mystery/horror that I knew who was the actual bad one but I felt like the clues were really obvious and I hated how fact the female mc fell in love.

But all in all I would recommend although it is a bit creepy and people with soft hearts might have nightmares if they go to sleep while like 50% done with the book.

Synopsis: 16-year-old Niamh arrives in London for a summer drama programme, looking forward to time in the big city. However, her plans are completely derailed when a series of murders take place on young females and all seem to be linked to Niamh. Is this a coincidence or deliberate? As part of her course, Niamh works in a Victorian museum, where she meets the handsome Tommy, who she quickly falls head over heels for. But are things all as they seem with Tommy? I won’t spoil the twist in this post, but my word I was not expecting the route this book took!

I really liked this read! The Victorian period has to be my fave historic time so I was excited when the book included the Victorian museum! This book was such a page turner I started and finished on the same day. I thoroughly recommend a read.

Thank you so much to @scholastic_uk @cynthiamurphyya and @kaleidoscopictours for my copy of the #gifted copy of the book and for including me on the blog tour!

listening to THAT on an audiobook was atrocious. Literally the JUDE JUDE JUDE JUDE JUDE affect…

“A heart, my beautiful Niamh. Your warm and beating heart.”
it’s giving Sarah J Maas

“Was this really my first love? Talk about tragic.”
same.

Niamh is in London to study drama for the summer, a dark haired Irish girl in the big city and hoping for the time of her life.

But girls start being attacked and they all look like Niamh, exactly like Niamh and soon she’s living a nightmare.

This is a fast paced mystery thriller that combines modern life in London with its historic past. The characters are complicated, who is safe, who is not and there is an underlying feeling of dread that something bad is stalking the streets and no-one is safe.

The attacks are vicious and brutal, the action really never lets up from the start and the whole book has incredible tension and foreboding throughout.

A very satisfying read with a great ending.
