I want to say a lot of things but my thoughts aren’t very clear yet.

Here is what I will say though, this book suffered from the second book slump. I did not finish it, maybe I will but this book didn’t do anything or go anywhere. We learned a few things about others peoples mate, the witches history and background information in general and little bit about Rooke’s time in the Sol Army but that’s it. 

I loved the first book because I loved Rooke, Reed and other side characters but they aren’t there very much . You would think with a book where

Rooke and Soren spend time with each other that they will communicate with it eachother! Even a simple apology or conversation!

The whole fated mates , true enemies to lovers fell flat, the plot lacked depth aside from a few moments and characters, and with so many action scenes with so little payoff , this book did not deliver. Hopefully when the next book comes out ( if it ever even does) i’ll pick this one back up!

Forgot how much I love this series! It’s so good! It’s a unique magic system. I loved the plot twist at the end! I’m so sad the next one isn’t out yet! Highly recommend!

Groveling. Huge character growth. Badass FMC. I love them. I love the soft relationships Rooke has with the lesser fae.
