Why am I crying?? Bree had me shedding tears for characters we haven't even met in the books. The found family?? The revelations? Soren being absolutely obsessed? Delicious, I can't believe we have to wait gods know how long for the next book, I need more.

Very good.
I didn't think there was any way I would stop hating Soren never mind come to like him but the author managed to bring me round. He humbled himself and I know some people are upset he didn't grovel but I am ok with it. He had personal growth and saw what a selfish shithead he had been. I accept this and I am I'm impressed with the author for pulling this of.

5 stars.

I do wish there was more groveling from Soren, because he was a massive ass during the first book. However, I really enjoyed the ending of this book despite the cliff hanger

I had so many expectations and high hopes after the MAGNIFICENCE of book 1. I feel this 2nd book has almost been used as a filler because nothing really happened.

There was no grovelling. NONE. No begging. God. I was expecting the biggest grovel of the century. I was expecting him to shower her with gifts and plead for mercy. Instead... he accepts she is his mate, starts growling a lot, and she accepts him being nice to her. Then all of a sudden they're kissing etc. No build up. No tension. The issues of the romance and grovel really let the book down.

Some spelling errors, and things can get a bit confusing. I felt there was a lot of info dumps. It made it hard to get through at times.

And then the ending... we hear about her brother and her fate. Urghhhh.

I'm glad I've read it. I look forward to the third. But I can't help feel a bit sad after how good book 1 was.

I hope book 3 brings some redemption to the series!
