Cassie and Riordan were a hoot for the last couple to focus on for this series.
Their crazy and overthinking with shitty communication was a stressor for most of the book for me. I wanted to scream at them so many times!
The murder mystery was happily wrapped up and it was great to see some of the guys from the Dark Island Scots series popping in plus so many other new characters.
I’m ready for the next few books of Jolie’s to see how the characters and universes continue to weave in and around each other. It’s a fun little series I’m enjoying as a break between some big heavy reads.

Omgg the way I thought Rio got kidnapped by someone bad in the beginning and then who it actually turned out to be made me laugh so hard. Cassie is actually hilarious and I love her. The Skeleton Girl’s Detective Agency was a breath of fresh air and I loved their dedication to figuring out what was going on with the Deadwater Murderer. The fire scene in the church was absolutely crazy and the fact that someone rescued Cassie and who rescued her had me like

This has so many twists and turns! It was not just a book about Cassie and Rio, it was a murder mystery…did I guess? No…I was fooled like everyone else! Jolie is such a good storyteller. I love Cassie’s family, her brothers and the way they put Rio through his paces. I think Cassie and the way her brain works is hilarious! Some times brain to mouth did not filter and what came out was hilarious!

Great ending to a intriguing series
I was very excited for this book since Cassie and Riordan had caught my attention in the previous books. I loved them both. Cassie was unapologetically herself, which I adored. She loved hard and went after what she wanted. She was my absolute favorite MFC of the series, she was fierce, sassy, unhinged and very loving towards her friends and family.Although she initially struggled in the other books to find herself and what she wanted to do she definitely grew and found calling in this book.
Riordan was absolutely sweet and swoony. He 100% accepted Cassie for who she was and loved her even more. He was so caring and protective toward Cassie and his sisters. My heartbroke for the hurt he went through when he was younger but meeting Cassie, being welcomed into her family and becoming part of the Skeleton Crew, was what he needed. Riordan was able to find the love he deserved and the family he craved.
Riordan and Cassie's chemistry was palpable from the start. They were very hot and delicious together and I couldn't get enough. They were my favorite couple of the series.
This book was very engaging and intriguing with many twists and turns. I could not figure out who was the murderer and was totally shocked by the conclusion as it was so unexpected.
I enjoyed the cameos by Cassie's family they were humorous, and I loved their tight knit bond.
This book was fast paced , very entertaining entertaining and action packed book . It was a great ending to this series and I can't wait for what's next!

This is the final battle ok in Jolie Vines Body Count series. She wraps up the series nicely but leaves it open for a new series. She brings characters from her other series into this set which I LOVE as it keeps them all connected and alive with readers.
