This is quite a departure from what I remember the Minish Cap being like as a kid. I really did not like the art style and the plot felt rushed and lackluster compared to the many other manga's in this Zelda series by the duo Akira Himekawa. There is a lot of cringy material in this volume - things ranging from Zelda's and Link's mannerisms/personalities to weird perverted instances of Link looking up a woman's skirt (what was that seriously)- which unfortunately, made this read very hard. I also find it hard to believe this manga is considered cannon with its references to pop-culture and Irish myth - but I'm told it is. What a disaster.

I’ve been in a little bit of a Zelda kick recently and I’ve had this on my shelf for years so I finally just sat down and read it in a sitting. This was just a fun little read. I also really want my own talking green bird hat.

I've read this manga at least 3 times now and I still love it as much as I did years ago, when I first bought it at my elementary school book fair.
It was nostalgic to read this and revisit the characters! I like how you can understand the story even if you've never actually played the game (*cough cough* guilty...)
I seriously think that this manga was a big step towards my admiration for Legend of Zelda and fantasy in general! It was so much fun to reread it (Link makes the most amazing faces)!
TLDR: Short, easily digestible manga with lots of wit!

This book is based on the Minish Cap. I felt like this story was paced so nicely. I didn’t ever feel it was rushed. I feel that Link collecting all the elements was very fleshed out. Ezlo, who is also in the game, made such a great companion in this manga. It was really nice to have details revealed in conversations between Ezlo and link. I have only one complaint about this book. There are two panels in this book, which go side by side, which felt very out of place. Felt out of place in the story and just out of place for the Legend of Zelda. For me this just left a bad taste in my mouth. Anyway, I did find what they did with Vaati at the end interesting, especially when comparing it to the video game.

The only reason this is 3 stars is because Link was a perv on page 96. This manga is for kids why even add that??
