I think this is my favourite Lane Hayes series. I love this town and the people in it.
Ivan and his terrible latte art is a joy, surrounded by friends and family but lonely too, I loved him and his relentless optimism. But we'd met Ivan previously, especially in JC's book, and I knew I wanted a HEA for him. Court is a reluctant returnee to Elmwood and watching the town (and Ivan) work its magic is at the heart of this story.
I can't wait for the next installment. And I'm looking forward to the audio so I can revisit this pairing.
Highly Recommended.

Audio: 5 Stars Nick J Russo did an amazing job!!
Book: 3.5 stars, but rounding up for holiday spirit haha
It took me a little bit to warm up to Court, he did a lot of complaining and woe is me situation, but Ivan was the real star of this show, and I was here for it! He has been in the background in books 1 and 2 so it was great to see him get his HEA. I loved seeing him and Court become friends then more, it made me smile and just happy, which is what I needed after my last read!
This was the perfect little slice of holiday cheer I needed to get through this work week haha, have to keep the holiday spirit going on a little bit longer!

In a series I love, this is my favorite book so far. Court and Ivan are adorable, the bond between them is lovely and allows them to realize that sometimes, no matter how many plans you have (or don't have) for the future, the path to happily ever after can surprise you when you least expect it.
I am so in love with the people in this town. Everyone brings something to these stories that will definitely bring a smile to your face.

Sadly, much closer to the second book than the first book in the series in terms of plot and romance development. But I will be waiting for the fourth book in the series.
Themes: dual POV, barista/hockey player, opposites attract, bisexual character, small towns

This is such a great series and I was happy to finally see Ivan finally get his HEA after meeting him in the other books. This is a sweet small town read about Ivan and Court, who seem to be surprised to find themselves in a real relationship.

An utterly adorable holiday romance
An utterly adorable holiday romance with the emo geek kid all grown up to be the coffee shop owner, Ivan, finding his childhood crush, Court, is back in town and now just as in to him.
I really enjoyed this. It was definitely better having read The Elmwood Stories 1 & 2 first, so I wouldn't suggest reading it as a standalone. But they are easy to read, lovely, hockey in a small town MM romances, not difficult to read at all!
Trying not to give spoilers, but the only bit of the story I didn't enjoy was the ending, where I would have preferred more weight being given to the importance of LGBTQ+ rep in sports.
In this you'll find:
✨MM contemporary romance
✨Washed-up Bisexual Hockey player
✨Gay coffee shop owner
✨Small town holidays
✨Childhood crush
✨Latte art
✨Coffee scalding
✨Losing job/career
✨Coaching kids
✨Community bingo at a church hall
✨Workplace hookup
✨Pregnancy complications
✨A HEA
