It was a cute book for what it was. If I'm going to be honest though I have to admit that I skimmed through the last 2 chapters because I was getting bored which is crazy considering that the book is only like 178 pages. Overall it was not a bad books by any means but it wasn't good enough for me to rank it higher because I've read really good novellas.

alright so i got rec’d this book (i read reddit) as a follow up to bride bc i was (am) obsessed w it. ig the bride pipeline is straight to monster smut which im fully fine with but i’m not sure that’s what hooked me tbh

so: this is a totally fine book. I feel like it’s almost surprising how thoughtful it can be considering the biggest plot point is fulfilling the monster smut quota while guaranteeing a HEA, but i think this is one of those 1:1 moments that doesnt totally deliver. interspecies, taken to his “realm”, surprisingly gentle and kind, horny — yes it shares a lot of commonalities w Bride but I don’t read for tropes and didn’t like Bride /because/ it had those tropes. it’s more about the magic of the entire thing together and this lacked that spark for me, personally

so in the context of how I was viewing this:
not Bride but not bad at all! Go dragonman!

fast-paced monster romance smut, what more is there to say? I liked the relationship with Sol and Briar and how they understood each other’s pains and struggles too
