I am glad I finished this book. To be honest, I didn’t think the obstacles holding the protagonist back were as big as she made them - and it was hard to keep reading at times for that reason - but the last couple chapters made up for it and gave me the warm feeling that made me choose this book in the first place.

The pacing was too slow and it throw in another point of view with no context that confused me.

It was ok. I know these cozy holiday books are as predictable as a Hallmark movie, but usually they take you through a sweet holiday romp and at least provide a level of entertainment that gives you some warm fuzzies and makes you feel excited about the holiday season. I didn't get any of that from this. It felt like a long slog to the predictable ending, which, by the time we got to the assumed story arc, was rushed and boring. Oh well. At least the cover is cute for our library's holiday display?

holy mother mary the ending was so intense i actually think i held by breath for 25 pages.

honestly, i went into this expecting a simple little holiday romance jesus christ was i wrong it was absolutely hectic and at times so infuriating i didnt want to carry on with it, but at the end of the day i'm glad i did.

definitely not my favourite, but i do appreciate the idea and for the most part the execution.

A decent story that could have been a lot better if it wasn't so repetitive and therefore many pages too long.
