I LOVE this author. After reading How to Love a Duke in Ten Days I have become obsessed with her writing and the immense feelings she is able to convey for the characters.
The rating is a 4 star because of the author and amazing writing, if I were to rate based on my personal opinion it would be a 3.

*Spoilers,duh.
This is PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
Although I loved the H I don’t really enjoy when the main couple of the story reference past lovers, emotional or physical. In this story the characters had met in a different book, The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo. And the H chooses a woman that looks like the h so he can have his way with her. The h watched him during all of it and in this book mentions how she wished it were her. Now this was before anything developed between them of course but I’m a purist and like my characters to only want each other after meeting ( I know not realistic at all but it’s what I like! ) in the H’s point of view we see that he had the h in mind while he was with the other woman in the previous book and since the h confessed she wished it was her he was doing those dirty things to, it would’ve been a perfect time for him to verbalize to her that he was also wishing the same thing, but he doesn’t - we only know because of his inner thoughts. That was my only complaint and if that had happened I would’ve overlooked it and enjoyed the story a lot more. Maybe this one was supposed to be a lot more erotica than it was romance. I do appreciate the proposal at the ending tho, the only thing I hate more than mentions of past lovers is when there isn’t a concrete relationship at the end of a story.

Kerrigan Byrne can do nothing wrong in my book. This novella was fast paced with great banter and delicious dirty talk. Then because it couldn't be any better, the audiobook is a duet narration with Shane East!
