I enjoy the first and last few arguments about knowledge, senses and the changing nature of things. I particularly liked his observation on phenomena such as inattentional blindness and sense relativity; The notion of non-existent ‘present’ state and the ever changing self. They were very ahead of his time which very much reflected Montaigne’s extraordinary sensitivity and observation skills.

However, the middle part around the idea that man has no knowledge is very tedious with too many unnecessary anecdotes. The conclusion that man is nothing without god is also very sudden and unexpected which contradicts the logic and reasoning of many previous arguments he stated but again, is forgivable considering his time.
