we did it

we really did it

a satisfying and complete ending which is far more than i was expecting

just as with the previous entries this really lagged in the first half but came together eventually, gets a higher score for how it wraps everything up but could easily have gone lower lol

*spoilers*

actually think it’s really cool how Roland is fated to endlessly chase and obsess over the tower, whilst those he quite literally dragged into his shit find a way to have their happily ever after. not once does Roland ever question the why, and at least King sticks to his own rules with it

King says this wasn't the best ending... but it was the just the way the story ended. I think he's right on both counts...

He also says it was more about the journey then the destination. This was a journey for sure, and it was one worth taking.

A worthy end to a worthy summer reading project.
