Overall an interesting concept, though not quite as much focus on the dragons themselves as some readers may want. There is a lot of exposition before the plot gets going but if readers can stick it out they will enjoy a child narrator who is treated by adults with respect and who gets to go on an adventure that is not too scary for younger readers. A solid short chapter book for fantasy readers who dont want to read childish books but arent ready for longer reads.
