Great forensic procedural. There are a few holes in the plot, but it really grabbed my interest. I'll definitely read more from this "author" (really a duo)

It was a very good introduction into the series, especially in establishing the main characters of the series.

I enjoyed this book especially some of the details about the bones and scene set in Cooks County and the characters there. I cringed at some of the personal details about the professor especially making out with the undergrad and flirting with the grad student but other than that, I really enjoyed this book and I would like to read the next one in the series. I enjoy the touches of science in these.

I liked this story. It isn't the best I have ever read, but it was engaging and different.

A little bit campy, but I recognized the voice/style of Bill Bass right away. Sarcastic and cheesy. This might not be my new favourite series but they are fun good quick and easy reads.

Awful, terrible, horrible. Yeah, that about sums it up. All I can say is thank goodness I only paid $1.99 for this e-book (and the second one in the series was a freebie from b&n.) The entire story felt like the author just threw together as many different story lines as he could, tried to tie them together, failed miserably, so at the end, just said screw it and gave a couple pages where he threw all the characters together and said "this is what happened."

The forensic detail is on par with Kathy Reichs' early novels however the plot didn't grip me and the main character seemed a bit naive considering his age and profession. Will be interesting to see how the characters develop in the next book.
