I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It made me think about mortality and what that means for me. I loved following the journey of Mateo and Rufus. It felt as real as could be for a world in which you’re alerted about death. While they have their adventures, they’re not crazy excursions. They are just regular last day adventures. I loved the representation and the slow burn romance. It’s the only time I’ve truly bought the “I’ve fallen in love in less that a day” trope. Additionally

i was not expecting for Mateo’s death to be violent for lack of better word. While I knew they were both going to die, obviously, I was pleased with the plot twists this book entailed.  Oh and the extra story broke me. I was crying so much because of how sad and good it was.
