This was a very well-written novel. The characters were fleshed out extremely well where I both loved and hated them all (in a good way).

I actually had no idea what this book was going to be like when starting it, I was honestly surprised to find out it wasn’t a comedy.

I really liked this book. I had seen a couple of reviews slating it for its depiction of disordered eating - but why shouldn’t this be a theme of a book?

I think it accurately displays the utter obsession around food and how it can act as a source of comfort but also as the enemy. As someone in recovery from an ED, I didn’t find it triggering - but ofc that’s very personal.

A fun, compulsive read. Finished in one night. Beautiful descriptions of food. But I was partially hooked because I wanted to find out *what he did* and the reader is never given details, which was very frustrating.
