Enjoyable, writing is not fantastic but it’s a entertaining story and the drama is stepping up a bit. Def reading the next one but very heavy emotional read but loved the lil catch at the end.  Main character is like able and i’m enjoying following her.

Please please please read content warnings. 

The last 10% of this book is what convinced me to keep reading this series, and I’m still not entirely sold. The violence was so explicit and Auren’s POV is so narrow (I mean, I buy it - she’s been in a cage for ten years, she has every right to have a narrow characterization) that it was tough to read at times. I’ll be reading on but I’ll definitely DNF the second book if it’s similar to the first 90% of this one. Hard to recommend this to literally anyone I know…
